Our smallest, most jewel-like Uma lodge sits on a small hill at the western end of the Punakha Valley above the Mo Chhu river. It seems to breathe a different air, and is ideally located for Himalayan exploration, for village treks, temples, festivals, and whitewater rafting.
Our resort is a five-hour drive from our sister property, COMO Uma Paro, and the nearby international airport. It is a more remote experience deep into the Himalayas.
Whether you're partaking in spirit-soothing ceremonies, trying your hand at Bhutan's national sport, or taking on the Himalayas on two wheels, immerse yourself in the heritage, culture and landscapes of this unique mountain kingdom. We also have expertly curated itineraries for stays of various lengths, all led by professional guides.
The Mo Chhu river surges through the Punakha valley, winding its way past rice fields, villages and the iconic Punakha Dzong, where a retinue of 1,000 monks reside.
Mark your anniversary with a traditional Bhutanese blessing featuring the exchange of khadhar (white scarves) and a romantic four-course dinner complete with a bottle of house wine.

Named after the traditional Bhutanese fireplace, Bukhari is the warm heart of our resort — a restaurant serving produce from Punakha Valley. The food is healthy, wholesome and full of flavour, from Bhutan and India, with some international favourites too.
