The Concept
Our Afternoon Tea, like the Cape Arid Room's artwork, is inspired by Australia’s natural abundance. The space features three interconnected rooms with high ceilings, timber-shuttered windows and walls adorned with eye-catching watercolour and ink paintings by Alex and Philippa Nikulinsky’s Cape Arid Collection, from which the rooms take their name.
The Nikulinskys are renowned Western Australian artists. The Cape Arid Collection, which we’ve exhibited since the hotel’s inception, is a series of paintings inspired by the couple’s adventures to Cape Arid National Park.
TAKE HOME ITEMS
CA Horizon Gin
CA Horizon Gin showcases a variety of delicate, aromatic botanicals that were chosen following an expedition to Cape Arid guided by Esperance Tjaltjraak Native Title Aboriginal and a team of botanists. These were carefully collected in collaboration with nurseries to ensure continued regeneration.
Cape Arid Tea Blends
Cape Arid Rooms and Teassential have partnered to capture the essences of our finest regional flavours. Each of our Afternoon Tea Editions has its own tea blend inspired by the beauty and abundance of their eponymous Western Australian parklands.
