Laucala’s forested interior is a tropical arboretum, with paths snaking along the cliffs and into the interior, through giant banyans and rare Fijian hardwoods threaded with pink hibiscus, orchids, and flamboyant wild gingers. Intermediate Round-the-Island Hike (four hours): Follows the coastal path, with the sea nearly always in view. Various lookouts for rest and picnics are positioned en route, and complimentary guiding is always available.
Duration: The walks are all looped and take up to three hours, with a map or a guide.
