COMO Maalifushi: A Journey in Simplicity
'Iruvai' is the northeast monsoon that runs from December to April: the high, hot and dry season. 'Hulghangu' is the southwest monsoon and low season that runs from May to November, when rain is likely but underwater visibility and surf swells are at its best. Between monsoons in April is when water is at its clearest — a popular time for divers. Throughout the year, temperatures remain around 30°C (86°F).
Our resort is designed by Japanese architect Koichiro Ikebuchi — his first in the Maldives — with a sensitive approach to nature and respect for cultural authenticity, reflected in clean design. All rooms, suites, overwater villas and Residences are built with high rafters, teak floors, New Zealand pine and Kajan thatched roofs. Floor-to-ceiling windows and large decks connect spaces to nature, while interior decor brings sea, sand and sky even closer to the heart of every room.
