Wheel Throwing Learn the foundations of ‘wheel throwing’, from how to use tools and centre clay, to shaping, trimming and decorating your pieces with ‘sgrafitto’, a decoration technique involving scratching through a surface coating to reveal a contrasting colour beneath. Two sessions over three hours – THB 4,900 per person
Session one (two hours) focuses on throwing; session two (one hour) covers shaping and trimming using ‘sgrafitto’.
Includes all supplies and firing fees to make one item (cup, bowl, plate and vase).
Clay Mandala Meditation Alternatively, explore the meditative practise of clay mandala making, where you will create intricate designs whilst engaging in soothing breathwork exercises.
Three hours – THB 4,200 per person
An additional one-hour painting session is available after the final ‘bisque’ firing stage for a supplementary THB 300.
Includes all supplies and firing fees to create two pieces (those creating large pieces will be limited to one piece), as well as an oxide glaze of your choice if you do not wish to participate in the additional painting session.
