Reef bottom fishing is a longstanding tradition in the Maldives which guests can try for themselves while the sun sets over the island. Potential catches such as red snapper, groupers and barracuda can be cooked by our chefs at Madi or Tai for lunch or dinner the following day.

In accordance with the resort’s conservation policy, we practice strict ‘catch and release’ methods.
This method of responsible fishing in Thaa Atoll allows you to keep up to one fish per person, or three fish per couple. Once you have reached your quota, you may continue to fish using the ‘catch and release’ method. Please make your reservations at least four hours before the trip.
This activity is subject to weather conditions and tides. We strongly recommend to make an advanced booking when you make your room reservation, as spaces are limited due to the number of boat charters available. Late cancellations will incur a 100 per cent cancellation charge.
