ABOUT UMA CUCINA

Uma Cucina is located street-side at COMO Uma Ubud, close to the heart of Ubud’s vibrant and artistic centre. Surrounded by lush hills and swaying banyan trees, it overlooks the Tjampuhan Valley and River Oos.

With outdoor terraces and a large communal dining table, guests can opt for traditional Italian family-style dining with sharing antipasti dishes, drop in for a drink and bar snack, or savour a more intimate dining experience.

DESIGN CONCEPT

Our warm and spacious restaurant was designed by architect Cheog Yew Kuan, with interiors by Maximilian Jencquel. The concept is informal and convivial, with expansive terraces and open sides that invite Ubud’s tropical greenery into the space.

A large communal dining table sits at the restaurant's heart, deliberately invoking the shared, easy-going spirit of the Italian kitchens that inspired its name.

OUR CULINARY ETHOS

At Uma Cucina, the style of cooking reflects the homely ‘kitchen’ spirit behind our name (with ‘cucina’ meaning kitchen in Italian). Dishes are hearty without being heavy, rich with honest Italian flavours and fresh local ingredients, and perfect for sharing in the convivial atmosphere of our central Ubud restaurant.

Sustainability

Our work with local suppliers ensures we provide fresh, high-quality ingredients while supporting our community. We also take food waste very seriously; we manage our portion sizes to make sure that are satisfying without being wasteful, and redistribute our organic waste to local farms to be used as compost.
