NINE-NIGHT ITINERARY

This nine-night adventure is an immersive experience of Bhutan. Spend five nights at COMO Uma Paro – our original lodge in the pine forests of the Paro Valley – and three nights at COMO Uma Punakha, an intimate escape overlooking the tropical Punakha Valley. Then take in spectacular views at growing altitudes as you hike to our wild camp, where you can spend a night among the clouds.

KEY ITINERARY HIGHLIGHTS

Climb through prayer flags with a view of the snow-capped Himalayas on the way to the Bumdra Monastery, where you’ll spend a night at our private camp

Visit the Taktsang ‘Tiger’s Nest’ Monastery, one of Bhutan’s architectural highlights

Walk across farmhouses to reach Chimmi Lhakhang, a 15th-century fertility temple

Pay respects at Kyichu Lhakhang, one of the oldest temples in Bhutan

Visit the 300-year old Punakha Dzong: the winter residence of the Central Monastic Body and where many major Royal events take place

Drive to the highest pass in Bhutan, Chele La Pass, and make a mountain bike descent

Engage with young monks at Chorten Ningpo

Visit the largest bronze statue of a bodhisattva in Bhutan, created by Bhutanese artisans at the Sangchen Dorji Lhuendrup Nunnery – or choose to go white-water rafting down the Mo Chhu River

Enjoy spectacular views of the Himalayas from the Dochu La mountain pass
