Position: Chef de Partie - Pastry
Base Location: Maldives

Reporting to: Executive Chef
Tasks/Responsibilities:
- Creating a variety of pastries, desserts, bread and other baked goods (cakes, cookies, tarts, soufflés and more)
- Developing new recipes and menu items, working closely with Pastry Chef to create innovative and high quality desserts
- Overseeing the work of Demi Chef and Commis Chef, provide guidance and training as needed. Ensuring that all staff follow the kitchen standards and procedures
- Ensuring that all pastry and dessert meet the restaurant’s standards for quality, taste, and presentation
- Managing the inventory of ingredients, ordering supplies and maintaining proper stock levels
- Keeping the cleanliness, ensuring all the equipments and tools are properly cleaned and stored as per HACCP
- Designing and overseeing the plating and presentation of dessert
- Working within the budget, managing cost and minimizing waste
Job Requirements:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- In-depth knowledge of the standards of Pastry
- Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to quickly learn new recipes and new cooking procedures
- Time management skills
- Ability to work efficiently and cooperatively in a team environment
- Ability to solve problems quickly
