Pastry Chef

Position: Pastry Chef
Base Location: COMO Uma Paro, Bhutan
Department:  Kitchen
Reports into: Executive Chef

Tasks/Responsibilities:

  • To control the preparation and service of all food from the kitchen or outlet, ensuring that it meets the agreed standards at all times
  • To coordinate the production of all products ensuring specifications, quality targets, and delivery timetables are met
  • To prepare suggestions for new menus in conjunction with the Executive Chef
  • To ensure all staff are trained to the required standards and are aware of the specifications for all new dishes
  • To develop local talents under the pastry team as part of their development plans. 

Key Requirements:

  • 5 years of experience or more in the operations field as a pastry chef for a 5* Hotel.
  • Understands and reads English efficiently.
  • Good Leadership skills.
