This June, children and teenage guests at COMO Maalifushi can expand their skills and let their creativity shine with immersive workshops that engage all the senses led by Nadine Schwengenbecher, teacher and founder of 'Literature Workshops for Children’.
Teens aged 11 to 16 can discover the spiritual world of yoga, learning strengthening asanas, practising soothing breathwork and taking part in meditative craft activities.
Meanwhile, our younger guests can explore children’s books like never before, with writing, crafts, role-play and puzzle games inspired by their favourite stories.
Experiencing Books with All Senses
Literature Workshop for Children
In this workshop, younger guests can immerse themselves in the wonderful world of children's literature using all their senses. Through writing, acting, puzzle solving, crafts, conversations and more, children are encouraged to explore their emotions and set their imaginations free.
Please note that this workshop will be conducted in German.
Wellness
Teens Yogitainment Workshop
Across three workshops, guests aged 11 to 16 can discover the foundations of yoga, from strengthening asanas to calming breathwork. They will also have the opportunity to try the legendary ‘walk’ over the yantra nail board, take part in meditative crafts, and to relax with head, back and neck massages.

Each workshop follows this structure:
Warm-up and wind-down with relaxation and yoga exercises.
Introduction to the book through imagination journeys, puzzles, concentration, and perception games.
Understanding the plot through reading, listening and guessing.
Creative activities related to the book, which may include painting, crafting, shaping, baking, working, writing, making music, solving puzzles, or role-play.
Presentation and appreciation of visual, written and creative results, collected in personal "portfolio booklets".
Workshop One: Earth Try out grounding balance postures like tree and eagle, make your own yoga bracelet and jewellery box, and test your skills on the Yantra nail board.
Workshop Two: Water and Fire Focus on flowing poses like the butterfly and the dancer, followed by strengthening asanas such as the twisting seat, crocodile and crow. You will also concoct a delicious yogi tea with spices and flowers.
Workshop Three: Air Inspired by the lightness of air, we’ll concentrate on breathwork and flexibility, with asanas like shoulder stand and the goddess, as well as trying out the legendary ‘yoga headstand’ with the support of a partner. You’ll also craft your own silk eye mask to help with relaxation.
Prices are subject to 10 per cent service charge and prevailing government taxes.
