Position: Night Receptionist
Department: Front of House
Reports to: Night Manager

Role:
The Night Receptionist ensures the safety and comfort of the Hotel guests while providing excellent customer service. The role involves handling late check-ins and early check-outs, addressing guest inquiries, and overseeing the smooth operation of the hotel during nighttime hours.

Tasks / Responsibilities:
  • Answer calls in a polite and professional manner using the hotel standards
  • Maintain clean and tidy work environment with Health and Safety as a top priority for our guests and for work colleagues
  • Provide our guest with prompt and efficient room registration and check out according to the policy and procedure for registration
  • Be completely knowledgeable of room types, sales types, guest types, VIP codes and room rates
  • Maintain an excellent knowledge of room lay outs and features
  • Monitor security systems and ensure the safety of guests and property
  • Handle night audits, including balancing accounts and preparing reports
  • Handle guests’ complaints or problems in a polite and helpful manner or escalate to the duty manager if required
  • Offer guests information about the Hotel outlets, their opening, closing times and products on offer
  • To attend, and give, hand over at the end and start of your shift. Checklists to be completed during and at the end of each shift
Job Requirements:
  • Previous experience in Reception in luxury hotel setting
  • Proactive in approach with self-driven attitude
  • Excellent spoken and written English
  • Excellent Social and Communication skills
  • Well-presented and groomed


Desirable Attributes:

  • Experience with Opera System
  • Ability to speak more than one language
