The Grand Palace and Wat Arun

The Grand Palace was built when King Rama I moved the capital to Bangkok and houses the famous Wat Phra Kaew (Temple of the Emerald Buddha).

Wat Arun is known locally as the ‘Temple of Dawn’, that features five Khmer-style architectural prangs adorned with mosaics of broken Chinese porcelain. Located on the west bank of the Chao Phraya River.
