Position: Learning and Development Manager
Base Location: Singapore
Department: People & Culture
Reporting to: Vice President, People & Culture

The People & Learning Manager is responsible for training programs across all properties and Head Office.

Responsibilities:

Learning & Development

  • Responsible for the preparation and maintenance of the COMO Hotels and Resorts New Hire Orientation Program.
  • Prepare and recommend training programs for all levels of team members appropriate for use at all properties.
  • Coordinate and facilitate the training of all L & D Managers or People & Culture Managers to enable training of COMO Hotels and Resorts required training programs.
  • Assist properties with the recommendation of external L&D where budgeted and approved.
  • Regularly review the attendance records for all property L&D programs to ensure compliance with COMO Hotels and Resorts learning hours standards.
  • Work closely with L&D Managers or People and Culture Managers to ensure they are continually monitoring and working towards the improvement of service levels through skills training and product knowledge initiatives to support the hotel operation.
  • Oversee all L&D requirements for COMO Hotels and Resorts Head Office.
  • Identify trainers in each property and/or Regional Trainers for the delivery of specific programs.
  • Assist properties with the preparation of an Annual Learning and Development Plan based on property needs and objectives.
  • Assist properties with the preparation of their annual L&D Budget.
  • Prepare ad-hoc learning programs for a specific need or property as required.
  • Work closely with the Vice President, People and Culture to ensure that all programs are in line with company goals and objectives.

People & Culture

  • Improve People and Culture efficiencies on a group-wide basis without compromising critical deliverables
  • Link People and Culture deliverables to guest satisfaction, retention, growth and profit enhancement
  • Identify opportunities to improve productivity through partnerships with various hotels
  • To work closely with the Hotels to grow channels of talent sources by partnering with universities

Key Requirements

  • Previous experience in human resources, learning and/or operations in a hotel
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to level and work with the property GMs and People and Culture Directors
  • Confident in the delivery of learning to diverse groups of individuals and sizes of audience.
  • Experience in opening of new hotel operations is an advantage
  • Ability to travel when required
