Fiji

Fiji’s authentic assets are its warm people, thriving marine life, rich fields and lush vegetation. The islands are thick with primaeval forest and endemic bird species. Our resort, COMO Laucala Island, sits on a striking isle of black basalt rock ringed with beaches and coral reefs.

BOUMA NATIONAL HERITAGE PARK

Bouma National Heritage Park sits on Taveuni island, just a 30-minute boat ride away from our resort. The part is home to three spectacular Tavoro waterfalls. The first waterfall is 24m tall, while the middle has a 15m drop. The upper waterfall cascades 10m into a jade green natural swimming pool. Be prepared for some slippery rocks, muddy shoes, and rope-guided river crossings.

MAQAI SURF

Maqai Beach – pronounced 'mungai' – is located on Qamea Island, just north of the garden island of Taveuni. The surf here is excellent, and waves break along a private beach fringed with coconut trees, against a backdrop of dense rainforest.
